Recipe: Pearl Millet Semiya Upma (Sevige Bath)

  • 180g Aallya Pearl Millet Vermicelli
  • 2 liters of water
  • 2tsp oil
  • 1tsp mustard
  • 50g  Blackgram
  • 1 Onion
  • 2 Green Chilly
  • 2 curry leaves

Instructions

180g Aallya Pearl Millet (Kambu) vermicelli, soaked for 3 minutes in 2 litres plain water with appropriate salt . After 3 minutes, drain excess water. If you immerse it for more than 3 minutes, it will lose its natural texture. Then steam it for up to 5 minutes. The Aallya Kambu Vermicelli is now ready to use in your recipe. In a frying pan, heat the oil, sputter the mustard, and sauté the blackgram, onion, green chilies, curry leaves, and other ingredients until they are cooked through. Season with salt to taste. Then Serve hot with cooked Aallya Kambu Vermicelli that has been properly mixed for up to 5 minutes.
